30 Day Style Challenge: Day Three

"Favorite piece of clothing that you own"

Can I include my wedding dress? Because I LOVE my wedding dress. Other than that, every single thing that comes to mind is either jewelery, and accessory, shoes, etc. Everything but clothing. Do I even like my clothes?

I really like my hoodies. Some style blog right? I love my $15 hoodies from Target. I work in a clothing store, and I still pick my cheap, comfy, boring, hoodies. I live an awkward life.

30 Day Style Challenge: Day Two

"Your color palette/What colors do you like to wear?"

I will wear any color. Even yellow if it's flattering (side note: I hate the color yellow)I'm not super picky about color, just fit really. Aside from clothes, my recent favorite eyeshadow palette is Urban Decay's 15 Anniversary palette. It has quickly become my go to palette. Everyone else is like "yayyyyy naked palette! Boring colors! Yayyyy Naked palette 2!! MORE boring colors!" GIVE MY YOUR BRIGHTS THEN. I'm not saying I don't like to wear neutral browns, because I do. Just very, very, rarely. Hell, I wore pink eyeshadow on my wedding day and it looked AWESOME. I'm just not a very natural person I guess. Anyways, I guess that makes my colors of choice, every color. I like color. Hence, my 'Colorful' tattoo on my wrist <3

This is me on most days haha. No makeup, other than a bit of mascara, just a plain shirt, a hoodie, jeans, and today I decided to fancy it up with a scarf. :D That, and it was freezing today. I'd say I'm a pretty average 20 year old. Minus the fact that I'm married, I have no desire to party, and I chose not to go to college, and got my cosmetology license instead. I love all things Harry Potter, I'm obsessed with my cat Lucky, and I hate children. I also love to bake and cook. So, there is 7 things about me that you did not know previously. I'd say that's a pretty fair intro. :)

Magnetic Nail Polish

I caved. I bought a $16 nail polish. But I don't regret it one bit! Its Magnetic Polish by nails inc. London. I finally bought it in Houses of Parliament, which is a pretty metallic dark purple.




My fingers look suuuupppeerrr chubby in the pictures, but you get the idea. Go buy it! Best polish you can buy for $16!

Knotted Bun

I don't typically do hairstyle posts, but seeing as I am a licensed hairdresser, I guess its not shocking that I would once in a while. Today I saw a look on Pinterest that I thought was interesting, so I decided to try it for work. I've done something similar, with just knotting my hair until I had a bun, but the way this one was done was a little different. You braid your hair into two pigtails, and then knot it as much as you can. I just let my hair dry naturally, while it was damp I used Paul Mitchells Awapuhi Hydrocream Whip Mousse and Bumble and Bumbles Sea spray. My hair naturally has quite a bit of wave, so I just wanted to add even more texture. If you have naturally straight hair, I would recommend using similar products, and using a diffuser. So this is the look on my hair, and with a black flower since I had to go to work :) Enjoy!

Dolly Masquerade

So my store manager asked me to play around with my make up, and see if I could do a masquerade looking mask for her daughters birthday. This is my first attempt, and I will do a video on it as soon as I get ahold of some gold liquid liner. I would have like to outline the pink with a gold liner, and have some gold jewels glued on.
Also, I really need to look up how to white out my eyebrows. So once I get around to doing all of that, I'll post a video :)

Unicorn

No video or anything. Just me playing around with my new Urban Decay 15th Anniversary pallette. I'm in love with it. Anyways, I really wanted to use Junkshow, the hot hot pink, so I was determined to come up with a wearable look. I honestly did not think that this would look nearly as good as it did, and I certainly thought it wouldn't practical for daily use. But outside of work, I would totally wear this out. If fact, I did!





The colors I used were:
Junkshow
Midnight 15
Tainted
M.I.A. (for filling in my eyebrows)
Blackout

And that's it! I also used The Falsies by Maybelline, and Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Zero, but I felt that not as necessary to mention.

So that's all! I'm calling it Unicorn, because it makes me think of unicorns. Or I just have the mind of a 5 year old. Either way, it's cool.

Also, I hate how white my laptop camera makes me look :(

Navy and Cream

Second video is up! I'll post the pictures, but to be honest the pictures just make it look gray. Its really a dark, shimmery blue.





They're super over-edited, I was trying really hard to get the blue to show. And I finally have a little picture to go at the end of my videos. And it's awesome.

Teal Wing

So my first video is up on youtube!!! I'm so nervous/excited/terrified, and every feeling in between.
It still seems kind of weird because its really just a look I do everyday I wear pretty much anything with teal in it. Sometimes even if I'm not haha. I really just love doing my eye make up like that. So here's the look:

Fashion Smoke

This is a look from an old Too Faced Smokey Eye palette that I've had forever.


I've used the natural, and classic smokey eye looks quite a bit, but for the past year or two I've had this, I don't think I've ever used the Fashion Smoke look. So I decided to try it. The colors used are (left to right) Sugar Cookie, Wicked Green, and Midnight.


Pretty simple smokey eye, Sugar Cookie for a highlight, Wicked green in the inner corner and lining the inner half of the lower lashes, and then Midnight blended in the crease, and used to line the upper lashes and outer lower lashes. I also used Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner in Zero, since I like a little darker of a liner, but I only used it on the upper lashline.

Honestly, I thought this would be something I would find too extreme to really wear, but in the end I actually thought it was really pretty. I'll probably rock it more later in fall, I can't seem to get in a fall fashion mood when the weather here is still in the hundreds.

Round Two

This time I'm doing it. I've always wanted to make makeup videos on Youtube, and have a makeup blog. I've always been too embarrassed or scared of being made fun of. But this time, I'm doing it. I'm going to update at least twice a week for now. Probably just pictures and such until I learn how to edit videos.
